About the Journal

Aims and Description

The International Journal of Islamic Financial System (IJIFS) is a peer-reviewed, semiannual scholarly journal dedicated exclusively to advancing rigorous, innovative, and high-impact research on Islamic financial system.

IIJFS is committed to academic excellence, ethical publishing standards, and global scholarly collaboration to enhance our understanding of Islamic financial system and their development.

Focus

Islamic financial system constitute a fundamental pillar of modern economies, encompassing Shariah-compliant institutions, markets, regulatory frameworks, and financial instruments that promote equitable resource allocation, risk-sharing, and sustainable economic growth. In an increasingly interconnected global landscape, the study of Islamic financial system is essential for strengthening ethical, resilient, and inclusive financial architectures.

The evolution of Islamic financial system is driven by regulatory development, Shariah governance frameworks, technological advancement, and global market integration. What began as institution-based Islamic banking has expanded into a comprehensive financial ecosystem encompassing Islamic commercial banks, Islamic windows, Islamic rural banks, Islamic capital markets, Islamic insurance (takaful), pension and investment funds, financing institutions, and other non-bank Islamic financial institutions.

Research in this field advances a deeper understanding of institutional architecture, systemic stability, regulatory coherence, governance effectiveness, and cross-sectoral interlinkages within Islamic financial system. Such scholarship provides evidence-based insights for policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to strengthen macroprudential frameworks, enhance crisis resilience, foster product and market innovation, and support sustainable and inclusive economic development across domestic and global Islamic financial ecosystems.
